If you are a wordpress.com blogger looking for a way update your Facebook fan page automatically whenever you publish a blog entry there are several methods you can use. Here are five of them, and if I have not included an method that you use then please comment and provide details.
UPDATE: August08, 2011 Now Publicize to Facebook Pages
UPDATE: July14, 2011 Please read > Facebook like box widget for WordPress.com as it contains updated information.
UPDATE: February 27th, 2010 – WordPress.com has an app. called Publicize for posting to Twitter, Facebook and Yahoo. The feature can be enabled from your Dashboard → My Blogs admin page. Once you enable it, you’ll be directed through an authorization procedure to confirm that you want to connect your WordPress.com blog and your Twitter, Facebook or Yahoo account. Please see here for Publicize.
Method 1
Log into Facebook and go to your fan page. Then manually add a snippet from and a link to your latest post.
Method 2
The Facebook application RSS Graffiti automatically posts snippets of your WP posts to your wall, and friends have to click the link and go to your blog to view the whole article.
RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify.
You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.
Update:
Thank you for mentioning RSS Graffiti on your list. It’s been just 4 months since its launch and we are aways glad to discover so many people adopting it and mentioning it.
Since I am here allow me to add that RSS Graffiti will embed video and audio in the stories posted on the Facebook stream if any are available in your feeds as media enclosures.
RSS Graffiti is also -possibly- the only application that can write from RSS feeds to the news stream (wall) of Facebook Groups which I think is important for the administrators of the recently upgraded Facebook Groups.
Thanks again for the mention!
We’ll be glad to hear your (and your reader’s) feedback.
-Yannis
Method 3
Use http://getsociallive.com social bookmarks on your posts and the update will be automatic every time you publish.
Method 4
Hat Tip to t3ck How To Import Your Blog Content On Your Facebook Profile (Video Tutorial)
Method 5
In Facebook, Add Networkblogs application. Then add your feed to it on your profile. When you publish on your WordPress.com blog, it will update in the stream on Facebook and your wall.
Technie novice here.. Don’t quite understand the options: RSS Graffiti etc…I understand that WordPress’ Publicize feature goes to Personal Profile which I don’t want/have on Facebook..
I would like my WordPress Blog posts to update to my Facebook Fan page…Help please…
If you do not wish to use RSS Grafitti or Networked blogs, which I have already provided the links for, then please see here > Now publish to Facebook pages
Thanks, timethief! I am brand new to blogging. Like only 4 days old. This info has been very helpful to me since I knew I needed to figure out how to get my blog to feed to my fb personal profile AND to my fb page. Looks like RSSGraffiti is the way to go. But before I waste any precious time, if I go with something like HootSuite to connect everything, do you know if THAT will fix the issue? Or is RSSGraffiti something I should utilize, as well. I realize you are not on fb and that your answer may be limited. How long you been a Blogger?
I have been a blogger for over 6 years now and have blogged at WordPress.com for over 5 years. I’m sorry I cannot make a recommendation. I’m wondering if you are aware of the new Facebook like box widget for fan pages as its brand new. This post I will link to below includes information about it and also updates information in the post you have commented on. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/07/14/facebook-like-box-for-wordpress-com/ I apologize for not being able to be more helpful.

Does RSS Graffiti import to FB fan page only or does it import to both fan page and profile page?
Yes. This is what it states:
I’m having trouble with the getsociallive … do you post the code it generates in the single.php? or in the post itself? heres the thing some themes don’t let you manipulate their code. so then what?
You simply enter the HTML editor copy and paste the code at the end o the posts and click publish. That’s all there is to this.
Could you please elaborate on methods 3 and 5 that should be 6?
Thanks for the heads up on the numbering error. I have edited changed it.
Thank you for this; incredibly helpful!
Happy blogging and thanks for saying thanks. :)
My blog is only a few weeks old, so I have less than two dozen posts. I have added RSS Graffiti to my fan page to import posts. Is there a way to import these two dozen already published posts, or will I have to edit the date of publication for each one to get it into FB?
I’m so sorry Jane but the answer is ‘not that I am aware of’. I suggest you contact Admin at RSS Graffiti and ask them.
Hi,
You were able to help me out yesterday getting a wordpress blog to appear on a Facebook fanpage. I’m having an issue with it today and wondered if you might help. I go into notes on FB and tell it to import the blog. It does it one time, but does not save it. The next time I go into notes, it says:
Notes Settings
You are not importing notes from an external blog.
If I go ahead and set up a link to my blog http://myblog.wordpress.com/feed/
it will pull in the new posts, but won’t keep pulling them.
Any ideas?
I’m sorry to say I cannot help you. :(
Did the EXACT same thing today, and it works fine now. Your instructions work perfectly. I’ll be reading your blog and participating on a regular basis. You Rawk!
Thanks for the easy to follow help!! I used number 1. But now I have to remember not to check the FB selection in WP when I post (no pic there anyway) This is better

Thank you and best wishes for happy blogging. :)
@Zachary
I hope you find one that works for you. :)
Personally, I continue to have trouble getting blog posts to appear on our fan page either in a timely fashion or at all while using the Facebook/Notes RSS feed option. I will explore your other solutions, as I am fed up with trying to get Facebook’s own internal system to work. Thanks.
Just want to say thank you so much! The notes/facebook option will save me loads of time. Was having to post manually on my iphone all the time which really sucked! Plus my other admins didn’t get how to post. Now it’s automatic. TY!!!
Thanks Timethief, I use Networkblogs, I like the way it works. I’ve also imported earlier posts via the notes section, great tip!
timethief,
The RSS Graffiti solution worked beautifully for me. Thank you for directing me. Love this blog, too.
You’re welcome and best wishes with your blogging. :)
Hi Timethief – this really is a totally useful blog, each time i look at a blog post I open 3 or 4 more useful links of info!
I noticed someone else commented they use network blogs for their facebook page, I do as well to import the RSS of my image gallery on red bubble. My question to you (if you dont mind) is “Do you know if it is possible to add more than one import to a fan page?” For example if I wanted to continue to import my photos as blog entries but also import my wordpress blog (which currently I import as notes via the RSS on my own account but not the fan page)?
many thanks
Suzy
Thanks so much for the blog compliment. I don’t have a answer for your question because I choose not to be a Facebook member. Hopefully, one of my readers will have an answer for you.
Nice post.. thank a lot..
You’re welcome.
Easy peezy lemon squeezy…..thanks.
Thanks – that was easy!
Thank you for taking the time to leave me some positive feedback.
Love this blog its so informative, they need to pay TT for this info lol thanks for being around to help
Thanks for your kind words. You just made my day. :)

I’m pleased to meet you. It’s also terrific that you have provided such useful additional information. I’ll be pleased to spread the word and encourage feedback at the same time. :)
Hey Rousso.
Im very glad I discovered RSS graffiti. Its working as it should.. Almost.. Because when I use RSS graffiti to import videos posted to my wordpress.com blog, they cant be played or loaded in facebook. Do you have any idea what could cause this? I see they video just fine as a picture, but when I click it, it doesnt load or play.
Kind regards Jacob
I suggest that you go directly to the RSS Graffiti site and ask your question there. http://www.rssgraffiti.com/
Thanks TT, for the link back keep up the Great work! = )
Hi T3ck and thanks for the visit. :) There are quite a few forum volunteers, who have quietly made great contributions, tricks, tweaks, work-arounds, and I intend to start featuring them and backlinking. :)
Hello Time Thief
THanks for your blog. I’ve learned a lot from you and applying it well. Still have a way to go though so anything you can share is appreciated!
@Jane
Thanks for the positive feedback. I appreciate it. :)
I’ve been looking for a way to automatically publish to my Facebook fan page, because I’ve been manually posting the links each time. I like to have a thumbnail with the posts, so I wasn’t interested in the first couple methods listed. I do have the GetSocial bookmarks at the end of my posts, but I am unfamiliar with GetSocial Live!. So, it updates automatically? How does this work? I tried reviewing their site and couldn’t see how it was different from the previous GetSocial.
@conditionalcognition
I got the information from raincoaster here http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/automatic-facebook-and-google-group-update?replies=15#post-400210 I think you will have to contact the person who created getsocial in order to get an answer to: how does it work?
Months ago I went through some of the solutions you’re proposing, and in the end I decided to use Networkblogs application, and it’s been really working as expected since then.
@Milhaud
It’s nice to hear from you and good to know you are satisfied with the Networkblogs application. Thanks for the feedback. :)
