For those having issues with the new Flash-based image uploader introduced with the upgraded WordPress.com dashboard, WordPress has now given you a non-Flash based option. When you click on “Add an Image” in the editor, you will see a line of text below the “choose files to upload” button. When you click on the “browser uploader” link in that line of text, you are taken back to the old-style browser-based uploader that was used prior to the upgrade where you can upload one image at a time.
Click on the “browse” button, find the file you wish to upload, and select it, then click on the “upload” button. When the upload is finished, the window will refresh and you can then select the files size you wish to insert into your post, add a description, and choose whether to link the image to a URL, just as with the Flash-based uploader. When you have made your selections, click the “insert into post” button and you are done.

We are assisting bloggers with free-hosted wordpress.com blogs here. If you have a wordpress.org install and are self hosting then you will need to go to http://wordpress.org/support for help.
What is the url for your free-hosted wordpress.com blog (starting with http://) ?
What is your operating system?
Which browser and version of it are you using?
Have you upgraded your Flash?
Have you logged out, cleared your browser cookies and then logged in again?

I don’t see this link “You are using the flash uploader. Problems? Try the browser link.
Why can’t I see this option in the dialogue box?

I can see the “browser” link on my free hosted wordpress.com blog (this one).
I cannot see it on my wordpress.org self-hosted install. :(

Beneath the “choose file to upload” button in the “insert image” window (top image above), is a line of text which says, ‘You are using the flash uploader. Problems? Try using the browser uploader instead.’ If you click on the words “browser uploader” it will switch and at that point you should see the browse button (lower image above). If you do not see the browse button after doing this, then with that window open, force refresh the page and try again.
Also, try logging out of wordpress, clearing your browser cache and cookies, restarting your browser and try again.
