Everything does just as it should.

I suggest contacting staff directly and give them the titles of some draft posts or pages where this issue is occurring so that they can take a look. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

What browser and browser version are you using? Supposedly staff have gotten all the major bugs exterminated, but there are still reports of people using IE7 having issues and also at least one report of issues with Opera. Firefox has been pretty good though after the first round of bugs were vanquished.

[Edit: Captions have been an issue for a while (a month or so) actually as the editor itself (written by others) had some major issues.]

Still can’t give it a caption. Didn’t do anything different but maybe the code just got a few extra characters in it or something?
