I’ve been out in the blogosphere making new friends. For those readers who are not yet aware of it, Blog Catalog has radically changed from being just a blog directory to becoming a fully fledged social network. Check it out, join, submit your blog and discover some new friends, groups, neighbourhoods and discussions.
Thanks to my membership in Blog Catalog I have found more useful blogging tips, blogging tools, blogging resources and some very valuable advice for beginner bloggers and old timers alike.

Greetings! So, you want to know a little bit about us??
Well, for starters; we are not “almighty gurus”, we are not the most well known or most gifted bloggers in the world, we are not going to show you fake screen shots of our bank accounts overflowing with money until it ACTUALLY does, and we aren’t going to tell you it’s easy to make money online and then leave you to figure it out yourself!
We are real ladies that enjoy blogging, have learned (and keep learning) a ton, and have earned some good money doing it.
In a recent post Too Many Blogs.. A Bad, Bad Thing? The Blog Ladies share their advice about the pitfalls of starting out blogging by launching multiple blogs. We share the opinion that learning how to set up and maintain just one blog is stressful enough for a beginner. And, I believe the ladies’ advice will be of value to wordpress self-hosting bloggers and free-hosted wordpress.com bloggers as well.

If you are new to blogging, try just starting with one.. just one, and do it the right way first… there is a lot more to blogging than just writing content if you are looking to make money with it. Follow the steps and get it going. Make some money from it (this can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months) and then once you actually have it down pat… rinse and repeat as they say.
